(i) Cumulative service period of nine (9) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Senior Librarian or comparable position; (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Studies or Information Science or equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution; (iii) Certificate in Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution; (iv) Proficiency in computer applications; (v) Been Registered by the relevant professional body; and (vi) Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Participating in development and reviewing relevant policies, strategies, programmes and procedures; Cataloguing library books; Classifying, indexing and dissemination of library information; Generating and maintaining list of periodicals in the College’s libraries; Maintaining of physical and electronic inventory of library books; Sourcing for Information Materials for the college Library; Maintaining the College Library Repository; Providing assistance in locating reference Materials; Orientating users on how to access library materials, using library data bases; Ensuring maintenance, the College Bindery; Participating in budgeting and planning of library activities; Providing of Information about library policies; Safeguarding library resources; and Coordinating stocktaking activities for library resources.
