For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: (i) Cumulative service period of six (6) years relevant work experience three of which should have been in the grade of Librarian I or comparable position; (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Studies or Information Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; (iii) Proficiency in computer applications; (iv) Been Registered by the relevant professional body; and (v) Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Implementing relevant policies, strategies, programmes and procedures; Cataloguing library books; Classification, indexing and dissemination of library information; Maintaining of physical and electronic inventory of library books; Sourcing for Information Materials for the college Library; Maintaining the College Library Repository; Providing assistance in locating reference Materials; Orientating users on how to access library materials, using library data bases; Maintaining the College Bindery; Safeguarding library resources; and undertaking stocktaking activities for library resources.
