For appointment to the grade, an officer must have: (i) Cumulative service period of nine (9) years relevant work experience three (3) years of which should have been in Senior Housekeeper or in a comparable and equivalent position; (ii) Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Hotel and Hospitality Management; Event Management, Catering/Accommodation Management, Institutional Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food and Beverage Production/Management and Service; Food and Beverage Management; or a related qualification from a recognised institution; (iii) Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution; (iv) Membership to a relevant professional body; (v) Valid Certificate of Health for food handlers; (vi) Proficiency in computer application; and (vii) Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and result.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail: Developing and implementing hospitality services policies, standards and guidelines; Coordinating daily operations of hospitality services; Overseeing organisation and management of hospitality services as distinguished by the calibre of clientele and patronage; Coordinating supervision of staff; Facilitating staff motivation; Overseeing preparation of hospitality management budget; Spearheading appraisal of hospitality management staff; Coordinating identification and deployment of staff in the respective area of specialization; and Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing policies and procedures used within the hospitality management.
